Bailey wondered why he couldn't smell her and why his wolf had been silent since the previous night.
He noticed Rico coming down the stairs and greeted him. “Where is my grandfather? He isn't answering my calls." Rico replied coldly, "He's gone dealing with pack business." he glanced at him and stated that he was going to see Chaya. Rico's muscles involuntarily clenched as he walked.
"Geez, someone's cranky," he whispered.
They opted to head to the rec room instead, allowing Chaya some temporary solitude.
“He eavesdropped on female wolves talking about the hospitalized human, then confidently asked, "Where's the human?" One of the she-wolves playfully responded, "Oh, look who's here. She's likely still there, that weakling Mr. Wolf," Bailey snapped and grabbed her by the throat. The scene left everyone silent and stunned.
He released her abruptly, causing her to land undignifiedly on the floor.
He set off to find Chaya, with Ashton following closely behind.
My wolf grew more agitated while I continued to be unsuccessful in finding her. I decided to locate Rico within the designated training facility. Beta Rico, what happened? You were meant to..." Before I completed my sentence, he launched an assault on me, relentlessly pounding. "Are you seriously questioning me?" Rico sneered, and then we transformed into our wolf forms and fought fiercely. Rico was relentless and had no intention of backing down; he was determined to cause harm. Nova had to step in. "Shift now," she snapped, addressing both of us. Upon her command, I shifted into my human form and glanced at Rico. Ashton, outraged, started to speak but was interrupted by Nova's swift slap across the face. “Both of you acted inappropriately. You, of all people, should refrain from casting accusations towards Rico. Your actions endangered her life, as she is unconscious and her condition is uncertain. Ruining her wasn't enough; you had to take your cruelty up a notch.”
Bay was confused about why she mentioned the incident. Nova was furious when she accused me of deliberately sleeping with another woman and almost causing Chaya's death. Nova seldom gets angry, but her eyes are blazing yellow now.
“I often heed the moon goddess's counsel, but she deserves to be freed from you. You don't deserve her."
My wolf protested, declaring, 'You caused my mate agony despite my warning not to screw that w***e. When they cut my bond with her, you'll be alone. Your desire for independence will be granted—Leo's voice faded. "No, wait Leo. I am sorry. Please, you know I can't do anything without you.'
"You're not healing, Bay. What's going on?" Ashton asked, anxious.
Rico scoffed. “Don't forget to express gratitude to your friend for utterly destroying your life.” They left.
"Hey, man, let's go, these fools are being influenced by that slut." He looked at Ashton and replied, "I just need to be alone." Bay left the training area and got into his car.
