Dominik's mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Chaya, leading him to suspect Bailey's involvement. He regretted his influence on his grandson's disrespectful behavior towards women. Dreading—to think of what Bailey might have done to the young lady.
Rico's voice snapped him back to reality. "Alpha, recall when that w***e drugged Bailey five years ago?" he nodded.
"Who managed the situation at that time?" Dominik asked.
"Chester and Kyle took care of it," Rico replied.
Dominik ordered Rico to mind-link Kyle.
Shortly after, there was a knock on the door. “Enter,” Dominik said, and he entered.
Kyle asked, “Alpha, did you call for me?”
“Kyle I need a detailed account of the events when my grandson was found in the hotel room.”
Kyle let out a heavy sigh before speaking. He told them that the young woman was in a bad state because Bailey had partially shifted. “Alpha, he marked her and from what I could tell, she was still a virgin,” Kyle said.
Dominik's expression changed. “Why wasn't I informed about this matter?” he demanded. “Chester thought that the future alpha shouldn't get into a legal situation because of a mere human w***e. So he ordered us to leave her in a field somewhere and let her die,” Kyle said, lowering his head.
Dominik let out a ferocious roar that reverberated throughout the entire pack house. No one had ever seen him so enraged and for a woman. Everyone present was taken aback and stepped back, their faces glistening with sweat.
Bailey and Ashton were perplexed as they rushed to his grandfather's study. Just as they were about to open the door, Rico and Kyle scurried out, shutting the door behind them. “Come on, Bay, let's go to my office,” Rico said, with Bailey already furrowing his brows confused.
All of a sudden, a loud bang was heard, and the door suddenly flew open, revealing Dominik. His wolf, Locke, had emerged. No one dared to move or say a word.
He left the pack house and shifted into his wolf.
“Rico, what—happened, the last time something like this happened was when my parents died.” he patted Bailey on the back.
“It's best to let your grandfather have a moment to cool off before attempting to talk to him.”
Bailey was concerned about his grandfather and now his wolf Orion was acting oddly. He ran his hands over his face in frustration. He cursed under his breath. Orion was pacing, and the motion was giving Bailey a headache. "I need fresh air," he stated before leaving, with Ashton in tow.
“Hey, Bailey,” Sasha greeted, sashaying towards them. She was one of Bailey's occasional flings. “Sasha,” he responded with a knowing smile. "You seem like you need to let off some steam."
Orion growled, ‘I can sense their presence. 'Who are you talking about? Stop, you're giving me a headache.' . 'Just smell the air,' Orion replied.
Ashton realized he was moving away from them and called after him, but there was no response. “Well, Sasha, maybe some other time,” Ashton said with a fake smile. “He knows where to find me," Sasha said before Ashton ran off after Bailey.
