Adrian's first day at Echelon started out just fine.
He rejected Edward’s offer of a ride, thinking the staff might find it suspicious for an intern to arrive in an expensive car.
He took a cab to work, dressed in one of the new clothes Royal Garbs delivered.
The security guards recognised him from the day before and waved him in without issue.
“I already informed the development team you will be joining them,” Edward said, since Adrian had told him it would be awkward for a man like him to take an intern to his post.
Still, the lady he had met before, Fallon, was waiting for him again on the dev floor.
Her smile looked genuine as she greeted him.
“Come with me, please.”
He followed her to the main open-floor office of the Dev team.
They were all huddled around a large screen.
