I hung up from my conversation with Blake and looked behind me. Maia was barely conscious due to the massive blood loss. Although I still loved her, she got what she deserved for leaving me. She shouldn't have left, everything was perfect before she ruined it by running away. I walked up to her and bend down to whisper something in her ear. "Blake won't be alive after today"
With that her eyes closed. I sighed, picked my mate up from the ground and licked her wounded neck to heal the bite. I licked my lips savoring the taste. Her blood was delicious and sweet. She groaned as if she knew something was wrong but it was no use because I will never let her out of my sight.
