I sighed as I entered the pack house, still no sign of Maia. I don't know how long I can survive without my mate by my side. "Hey how did the search go?" Elena asked me.
I didn't even bother answering her before entering my room and shutting the door behind me. I know that this wasn't her fault. My sister was taking Maia's k********g almost as hard as me (almost). My mate was her first best friend and to just lose her like that wasn't fair. I paced across my room and flinched as I stared at my own reflection in the mirror.
I looked like something that crawled out of the walking dead.
Why is this happening to her? I wish me and Maia could just switch places. I'll take her place in a heartbeat just so that she would be safe and sound from the blood sucking leech.
