“Wake up Scout It’s time for school!” My mom yelled from the kitchen of our Cracker Jack box house. I swear I can hear her from the other end of the house like she’s right next to me, and it’s not because I am wolf. That’s just a perk! I get up and get dressed for school i only have a few more days till my 18th birthday when I will meet my mate, and my wolf. I can’t wait to meet my wolf but my mate I can wait for. Specially after everything my mom went through with hers. Her mate rejected her, because of me. She doesn’t blame me, but I can tell she is hurt she has no one to live the rest of her life with someone who would love her no matter what, and who would take care of us! My mom got pregnant with me before her 18th birthday with her boyfriend who she thought was her mate, but turns out he was not! His mate was not to happy about my mother, and her mates relationship so she kicked my poor mother out of the pack she grew up in! My mother left the blue moon pack and came to the eclipse pack they welcomed her with open arms! Shortly after joining she found out she was pregnant with me! My poor mom has been through a lot for me. As I walked down the hall to our kitchen she was getting my plate all ready. She is pretty with her long dark brown hair that reaches her waist, her tall slender body, and her dark brown eye. The only thing I inherited from my mom was our body’s, my hair was the lightest blonde I have ever seen in our pack, and my eyes are a dark blue. Which she says I gets from my unknown father who she won’t even tell me since he has no clue about me, and she knows how I am she won’t tell me! I would go out and beat him 1/2 to death for what he did to my mother. “Scout you haven’t touched your breakfast yet is there something bothering you?” Mom asked concerned “No mom I was just thinking about my wolf I can’t wait to meet her!” I said instead of telling her my true thoughts. I then started eating my favorite breakfast! Mom always makes my favorites days working up to my birthday. The pancakes where to die for they where 100% melt in your mouth chocolate chip pancakes. “Beep Beep” I heard from outside. I stuffed my mouth. “Bye mom see you after training,” I yelled as I was running out the door to Skye. Skye has been my best friend since pre-K. We have be though everything together our first periods, kiss well Skye’s first kiss after everything my mom went through I was not going to be stuck with a man for the rest of my life I will be independent and will not need a man! I have seen skye go through a couple heart breaks, and I never want to feel that way ever! “Hurry up we are going to be Late,” skye yells. “Hey Skye have you found your mate yet?” I asked knowing the answer all ready. Her 18th birthday was 2 weeks ago and she was so upset she hasn’t found her mate yet. I tried to tell her she’s better off but she won’t hear it so I been keeping it to myself. “No I am so depressed! I went all over the school, and our pack and I can’t pick up any unbearable smells,” She cry’s. “He’s either not in our pack or isn’t 18 yet!” “It will be ok you will meet him just give it time your parents won’t even let you mate him even if you wanted to.” “ I know scout HEY are you ready for tomorrow,” she asked? “What’s tomorrow,” did I forget something big again. “Omg scout it’s your birthday!!!” “No it’s not, I have like 4 more days,” I told her mater of factly. “ Scout tomorrow is April 5, how can you forget your birthday!” I looked at my phone how did I lose 3 days! She was right it was the 2nd how in the world is tomorrow my birthday! Some reason I am super excited, but scared at the same time! “I don’t know if I can go to school now I don’t want to go!” I said almost throwing up with nerves! “Scout your fine only alphas gets there mate earlier than there 18th birthday! No offense Scout but you don’t have to worry till tomorrow!” Skye said trying to calm me down! “Your right I just don’t know how I lost 3 days I mean Skye it’s 3 days I thought I had more time!” “Scout honestly most mates are not from the same pack so you can also breath a tomorrow just be excited for your wolf!” She knew how excited I was for my wolf. My wolf be able to protect mom, and I from our pack. We where the lowest of all lows to our pack since my moms blood title of beta did not fallow her from the blue moon pack to the eclipse pack we are considered omega wolfs. My moms wolf left her when her mate rejected her so we have no way to move up in the pack nor protect ourselves for the other pack members. “Your right! Want to spend the night I feel her starting to stir in my chest,” I said maybe she was all morning long, but after hearing tomorrow is my birthday I noticed her. I will change at midnight tonight. “You know I will! You where there for my first shift!” “Ok let’s go into school I think I am ready!”
