“Grab something and pull,” Slade barked. “We need to move all this off her. Now!”
Dunn sank to the floor while everyone else moved toward the still figure on the ground. Dunn couldn’t explain how he knew it was her when all that was visible was the sole of a sneaker, but he knew it was.
His team lifted the first block off her, and she still didn’t move. They pushed more debris away until all that was left was one large rock.
“We need to lift this as a team. With the wall here, we can’t get a good handle on it, so we work as one,” Slade said.
Dunn sat while Mason, Slade, Rocky, and Jack moved to the piece of concrete. They grabbed and Slade counted them down. They lifted, but they couldn’t get the block high enough.
“She’s still trapped,” Slade growled. “We need another plan.”
