“It'll be okay, Doc,” Hunter reassured her, guessing by her silence what was on her mind. He took his hand off the wheel momentarily and brushed her cheek. Lake looked up, somewhat surprised at his optimism. After he had found her, Hunter's attention seemed geared on getting them out of New Jerusalem.
