3. [Lost feelings]

1280 Words
It was the week of the wedding and Amara was in her bedroom getting ready for work like any other morning. She did her morning exercise and did her morning routine. She was just about to head out into the kitchen when she felt a pair of hands on her waist. It was becoming a norm for Cole to wake up and wrap his arms around her waist, kiss her on her neck and whispered how beautiful she looked. Her phone started ringing. It was Aroura calling. She answered the call, put it on loudspeaker then placed it on the desk and continued to compare shoes. "Good morning. Morning!" A bubbly Aurora said over the phone. Amara knew she was calling to find out what time she will be arriving and to make sure everything was ready for the wedding. "Good morning Rora!" How are you doing?! Can't wait to see you. I have already paid for the décor and dresses. I will collect them after work. I planned on being home by 6pm. I got the other things for the bachelorette party as well." I said all at once. "Thank you, sis. You are the best maid of honor ever. Please come home safe and soon!" "I am almost ready to leave for work now. I will call you after work." "Okay, no problem. Remember what you promised mom! Bye!" "Bye sis!" Cole shouted bye Aroura just before Amara hung up. Just as Cole was coming out of the bathroom, Amara froze. Her eyes lingered on the water droplets on Cole's abs. It had been quite a while since she rubbed her hands all over him or even kiss his pecks. She can feel a wetness in her underwear but it wasn't the time for such a luxury. Cole caught her staring and smirked, "See something you like?" She shook her head 'no', picked up her bag and they both walked out of the bedroom. She dropped her bag unto the island that separates the living room from the kitchen. Cole then picked up a tea cup, poured some coffee into it and had a sip. "I am already running late babe. Your breakfast is in the microwave, will see you when I get back." She said to Cole. Walked to him and gave him a quick kiss. "Thank you," he said. "Have a lovely day. Love you! Will miss you." "Love you too, bye!" She said as she closed the door behind her. Cole came towards the window, with the tea cup in his left hand, opened the curtain and watched her drive out of the driveway in her white Kia. They both waved goodbyes. He then sat on the couch, had a sip of his coffee and turned on the TV; the morning news and weather was on. Amara lives in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Her neighbors waved as she drove out of the Cul De Sac. As she smiles and waves at them, her mood suddenly changed. Thoughts of Cole and how their relationship has become too casual and boring lately flushed her head. Though she partially blamed her busy work schedule. Recently she found out Cole had cheated on her when they were briefly 'off' after a heated argument and he recently came clean about it. When they started dating things were fun and spontaneous. They'd go to the local bar, have a couple of drinks and sing karaoke, go on adventures and all. He'd show up out of the blue in the night and take her for a walk, drive or just for some ice cream. She remembered a few months into their relationship as they were walking home after having a few drinks around 8pm. At the time Cole was doing some non-profit work in Newtown. As they walked by his office, he said he had to retrieve something inside. After climbing two flights of stairs they went into the office, he closed the door, pushed her up against the door and went at it on his desk and then in the chair. It was thrilling and sweaty. He even forgot what he came to get from the office. Probably the best s*x they ever had. The thoughts of home and seeing her family again came to her mind; particularly her sister getting married to the love of her life. She wiped the depressed mood off her face and soul and then plastered the fakest smile as she drives on the busy express road. The day was longer than she expected. She returned home after doing all that she had set out for the day. As she pulled into the driveway, Cole also jogged into the driveway with Risky, the Samoyed puppy. He opened the car door for her and gave her a gentle kiss and grabbed a bag she was holding out. She gave Risky a vigorous rub on the back as they all got into the house. Moments later, Amara went into the shower to freshen up before leaving for Merristwood. "Babe can you pass me the towel please?" "Sure!" He said as he quickly got off the bed and hurried into the bathroom. She was glorious in her birthday suit. The memories of all the times they had f****d passionately in that shower came rushing through his mind and he could see and feel his c**k getting hard. As turned on as he was right now, he dare not try anything. He knows Amara was still upset about the cheating, even though they were sort of on a break. He handed her the towel. "I miss you, babe. Will you ever forgive me?" He asked, almost in a crying voice. "What can I do? Name anything." She stepped out of the shower with the long gray towel wrapped around her chest and covering her waist down. "Not now, Cole. I am not in the mood for this right now. It has been a long day and I have a long flight ahead of me. You did what you did and I am not ready to talk about it." She continued talking as she dried her skin and went to the dresser, to grab a matching black bra and underwear. She sat down on the chair and applied some lotion over her smooth long legs. Once she was dressed, she then applied a light makeup. Cole turned off the shower and bedroom lights as they exit the bedroom and into the living room. She then checked the fridge, making sure it was empty, before turning it off. "It is unfortunate that you can't come to the wedding. My sister is fond of you and she would have loved for you to be there. As would I. Anyway, I'll call you when I get there to let you know I've arrived safe." "Yes, I know I would've really loved to be there but I have some work to finish up in the office." He retorted. "Please take care of Risky." She bent and gave him a gentle pat on the head. "Don't worry, I will, just have a safe trip and I love you Amara, I really do and again I'm really sorry," he simply replied. She took another glance at the apartment and turned off the lights. They both hugged, kissed then said their goodbyes. In the driveway, she gave him one final glance, "I do love you Cole and I hope we can work this out eventually." she got into the car and drove off towards the airport, so she doesn't miss her flight. Moments later Cole did the same with Risky sitting in the seat next to him.
