The party seemed to have lasted hours, my mother had me meet all the surrounding pack members who came to my brothers party. I got to meet my sisters mate who I talked to about setting arrangements for a wedding. After a few moments later all our guest leave and my brother and me head inside he goes upstairs and I follow shortly behind. I'm stunned when I hear a woman crying and she trips and falls into my arms I stare at her. I open my eyes and to my surprise I see the man whos arms I passed out in. I then remembered that he had called me mate, I keep wondering what that word means I've heard it a few times but never understood what it means. I finally turn to him and say "where am I"? he looks at me and says "your in our infirmary you passed out and I carried you here". I turn to him and ask "why did you say mate earlier, and what even is a mate"? he replied with "a mate is a wolf that the moon goddess makes for another wolf to spend the rest of their life with". I knew of the moon goddess I've prayed to her my whole life but I didn't know that we had assigned mates I always thought that we just chose who to be with, which makes since now. My family had died before they got a chance to explain any of this to me. I am pulled away from my thoughts as I hear the door open and I see an older man walk in holding a clipboard. He walks up to me and says "you have passed out due to your blood sugar being low, When was the last time you've eaten anything"? I have to think for a minuet and I finally turn to him and say "its been two days, I was kidnapped from my home and brought straight here". I hear the man beside me let out a low growl and I can see anger in his eyes as he turns to me and asks "who kidnapped you? I want names now!" He shouts, I'm shocked at how lethal the tone of his voice is even the doctor looks scared I take a deep breath in and just when I'm about to explain to him what happened the door opens again, and in walks in the woman who forced the guard to kidnap me. I feel the fear wide in my eyes and I can tell that he feels it to, but just before I could say anything she looks at me and narrows her eyes then says "why are you not in the room with my other son I brought you here for that sole purpose, your even more useless than I thought" as she rolls her eyes I just hang head and look down

When my mate tells me what happened im beyond mad I just want to rip apart whoever would hurt her in such a way. When the door opens and my mother walks in, I can feel the fear thats coursing through my mates body and I can't believe the words I am hearing coming out of my mothers mouth. I jump up instantly and look my mother in the eyes then say "how could you talk to her like that do you not realize your talking to my mate she will be the Luna of our pack and you dare disrespect her like that!". My mother smirks at me and says "you mean to tell me this little orphan nobody is going to be the packs luna have you lost your mind, how does Lexi feel about this im sure she'd like to know" I had forgotten about Lexi she wasn't my mate just a girl I had used to pass my time with. she was from a very strong surrounding pack. I hadn't seen her in a few days and really didn't care now if I'd ever seen her again. I was still infuriated that my mother would do such a thing to my mate but just as I prepare to say another word to my mother she just does a sinister laugh and walks out the door she came in. I turn to my mate and asks her her name she replies with "Stella, whats yours"? I smile and say "Sam"

I hadn't heard from sam in days and to be honest it was kind of nice all he ever wanted to do was have s*x although it was never anything romantic.
