Chapter 62: Thief Alex I pushed through the heavy wooden doors of the pack house. I felt the weight of them as they swung open. White snow still clung to the edges of my boots, and I stamped my feet to get it off. The warmth of the house hit my frozen skin way too fast. It made my face and hands start to sting with a sharp heat. As I walked down the long corridor toward my room, water dripped from my clothes onto the polished stone floor. I did not care about the mess. I just wanted to get to my room. I wanted to close the door and be alone. I needed to breathe and think about what had just happened in the woods with Sam. I did not make it very far. Four figures stepped out from a side hallway and into my path. They moved together like they had been waiting for me to return. Ken. Chri
