I sat in my room and looked at the jewelry in my hand. Wow, it truly was a beautiful necklace.
I turned it slowly between my fingers. I watched as the diamonds caught the light from the candles on my desk. Tiny shards of brilliance scattered across the stone walls of my room. They looked like frozen stars dancing in the dark. I felt a sense of pride as I looked at it. This piece of jewelry suited me perfectly. It looked expensive and rare. It looked like something a future Luna should wear. It looked much better on me than it ever could have suited a girl like Alex.
Getting the necklace away from Alex had been much easier than I expected. Honestly, it was almost disappointing. I thought she would put up more of a fight, but she was so easy to crush.
