Chapter 1: The First Encounter
Ottawa, Canada.
At midnight, in a deserted alley shrouded in silence, a scantily-clad blonde girl was sprinting with all her might.
“Huff! Huff! Huff!”
Her breath came in ragged gasps, sweat-soaked hair plastered to her forehead, yet she had no time to care, focusing solely on fleeing, running faster and faster!
For she was being chased by a terrifying **!
Her high-heeled boots clattered lightly against the ground, contrasting sharply with the ominous “thud, thud” of heavy footsteps behind her.
Those footsteps maintained a steady, unhurried rhythm, always keeping a precise distance from her desperate flight. Like a hyena savoring the chase, he was relishing the thrill of the hunt, never letting her escape nor lose all hope.
“Ha... ha... why...”
Her legs suddenly gave out, and she collapsed to the ground, despair etched across her face.
Ahead of her loomed an imposing wall, and on either side, the alley was blocked. The high walls encased her, with no chance of scaling them. Trapped on three sides, the only path out was blocked by the advancing menace. It was a dead end—a no-escape alley!
However, in dire straits, there was a glimmer of hope. Nearby lay a stack of construction materials covered with tarpaulin—steel rods within her reach.
“!”
Hope sparked in her despairing eyes, and with newfound strength, she seized one of the iron bars.
“Thud!”
The pursuing footsteps echoed clearly, making the girl’s breath hitch as she turned to face her stalker.
“Stay back... stay back...” she stammered, brandishing the iron bar.
“Thud. Thud. Thud.”
The footsteps drew closer. The girl’s wide eyes finally discerned her pursuer in the darkness—a man in a sports jacket. But his bulging veins, grotesquely swollen muscles, and snake-like tongue flickering from his mouth betrayed his monstrous nature. His eyes gleamed blood-red, and his deranged laughter echoed through the alley.
“Heh, heh, heh... Little girl, the game’s over!”
He stepped closer, his wet tongue darting out as he chuckled.
“No... no! Come any closer, and I won’t be kind!” she shrieked, swinging the iron bar wildly.
“You’ve no need to fear,” he cooed, his voice laced with madness. “I won’t kill you. I just want to... love you.”
He licked his lips, eyes roving over her sweat-drenched neck and exposed legs.
“Just a taste... ah, I can’t wait!” he lunged.
“Ahhh!”
She screamed, crouching down in despair, the iron bar clattering to the ground.
“Ha ha ha, uncle’s coming... ugh!”
His laughter cut off abruptly as he crashed into a wall, his body crumpling like a rag doll.
“Bang!”
The sound reverberated as he slid down the wall, unconscious.
“What a fool, thinking he could take advantage of someone!” A young boy’s voice rang out, his figure stepping into view beside the girl.
Relief flooded her as she threw herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
The boy, though impatient, gently patted her shoulder. “There, there. It was just a p*****t. No big deal.”
Indeed, his expression showed nothing but annoyance. Had she not clung so tightly, he might have pushed her away.
“Damn you! I’ll kill you!” The man growled, rising shakily to his feet, blood-red eyes locked onto the boy.
“Interesting,” the boy mused, a hint of surprise in his eyes. “You’re stronger than most.”
“Step aside!” he commanded, shoving the girl behind him. She complied, watching nervously, her eyes darting to the alley’s exit.
“I’ll kill you!” the man roared, charging again.
The boy laughed derisively. “Kill me? Don’t make me laugh. If you can so much as touch me, I’ll let you live.”
“Die!” the man bellowed, his body swelling as he rushed forward.
“Not bad strength,” the boy noted, sidestepping effortlessly before kicking the man into the wall again.
“Bang!”
This time, the man didn’t get up. He glared at the boy, growling like a wounded beast.
Suddenly, the girl screamed and bolted from the alley.
“Ungrateful! No thank you? Typical!” the boy muttered, glancing at the man. “I’ll spare you this time.”
With a chuckle, he walked away, ignoring the hate-filled gaze burning into his back.
