By the time, Aron returned from work, the Johnsons were long gone. Rhea was feeling quite uneasy after her conversation with the Johnsons. So, she cleaned the whole cabin, inside and out, in a fit of rage. Then she tried to cook some noodle soup with horrible results, which didn’t do much to improve her mood. She really wasn’t made for being at the receiving end of intimidation. Yet, when Aron returned, somehow her spirit automatically elevated.
His bright smile itself was enough to lighten her mood. Then as he told her stories about the events of the day at the general store, she quickly forgot about the Johnsons’ visit. It wasn’t until after dinner that she was reminded of the couple and how they responded to her desire to find a job and when she did her mood turned sour instantly.
