“That was such a rush that soon I began to open other locks in the house too. Edward Korlin had a hand in how well I can pick locks, I must admit,” Aron said with a slight grin that told Rhea all about how that eight-year-old boy survive for all these years, despite the constant attempts of his family at his life and Aron’s next words only confirmed that assumption.
“He had an obsession for locking everything up. He would lock my brothers and me in the kennel with the dogs if any of us displeased him. He kept the pantry locked. Mother had access to it only on Thursdays and for the whole last year when my mother was still alive, he kept the kitchen locked at his absence too because she was apparently feeding us way too much for us to appreciate his kindness towards us.”
