Locks and Keys (Part 2)

2315 Words

“Pick them?” Rhea asked, “As in picking locks?” Aron nodded and Rhea chuckled, “Weird as it may sound, you’re not the only person I know to have that area of interest, although, you’re amongst the elite few, who haven’t served any time, in course of pursuing that passion.” A genuine smile formed on Aron’s face as he heard Rhea take a jab at him. It never failed to astonish him that no matter how outlandish a confession he made to Rhea, she never for once made him feel like a weirdo. Instead, she always found a way to let him know that it wasn’t outlandish to her. Hence, he decided to not let the burdens of his memories weigh on their newfound bliss and joked. “Are you one of those people yourself?” he said raising a brow and Rhea said assuming the air of being regretful, “No, I’m not.”
