Long ago all the zodiac members lived in harmony. They had gatherings, festivals and so many other magnificent things to celebrate, but the most important day was the new kings and queens coronation day. Every 300 years the people would pay their respects to the kings and queens and their new disciples. But something went wrong that day. Justin, the next ruler of the Leo zodiac. He thought that he was better because the Leo zodiac was the most powerful among the rest of the other zodiacs. He thought that he should rule amongst the other zodiac signs and have everyone bow down to him and only him. The queens and kings of the other zodiacs tried to defeat him but couldn’t, that was until Alexander. the next king to the Scorpio throne. He stood up to Justin. Their battle was legendary. They fought till the stars began to shake but in the end Alex lost but with his last words he said “ my power shall travel the universe until the stars find the person who has a pure heart. Let it be today that my power go to that girl or boy who shall be worthy of this power for I am to live within them.” With that his power flew to the sky while he became dust. Now with people in poverty and s*****y they hope that a new descendent of the Scorpio sign will appear but it’s only a matter of time before the stars find the right person for such power. -300 years later You i***t! I told you this ain’t the right beer I wanted! How much did it cost! Ugh. Here we go again another day where he isn’t happy I don’t know why mom is still with him whatever I’m not getting involved he’s an i***t. I always think to myself why I’m still here we’ll whatever it’s not my problem I don’t care anymore if my mom wants to ruin her life and stay with this guy I won’t interfere. “I’m sorry honey I thought I grabbed the right one.” Said my mom. “ how much did you spend!” Said my stepdad with an angry look on his face. “ $10” she said looking frightened. He turns around nodding his head. My mom lowers her guard a little trying to relax but before anything he turns around quickly trying to hit my mom but before any of that could happen my feet lead me to the living room so that my hand could catch his hand in mid air stopping it from reaching her. My mom yells out “ Adriana! What are you doing!” I turn my head a little still holding his wrist in mid air. I can see the distressed look on her face but I don’t care, though I said I wouldn’t get involved I won’t allow anyone to hurt my mom. I keep looking at her and say “what do you think he was going to hit you I’m just doing the rig-“ before I can say anything else I’m thrown to the other side of the room. I try to get up but it becomes a little blurry I touch the back of my head and see blood on my hand at that point I knew I was at a disadvantage of protecting my mom from this guy. “God damn it! You see this is why I get angry because this little rat just doesn’t know when to stay out of people’s business” my stepdad walks over to me and pulls on my hair “ ugh!!!” I say when trying to hold me tears in. I look at him and say “ if I’m a rat what are you?” I say with a straight face “ what!” He says. “ if you think you can freely insult me that’s fine because I’ll just insult you back ass hat.” I say with a smirk on my face “ what did you say rat!!” He says while pulling on my hair more “ oh I’m sorry did I hurt your feelings” I say to him in a baby voice. He starts to get more angry but before he can pull my hair more I punch him in the stomach with that he releases my hair and I run out of the the living room going to my room. With not much time as I hear his foot steps approaching my door I open my window, grab my backpack and jump out and start running. “Girl!” He says with so much anger “ get back here! You get back here now!” I turn around and flip him off then I continue to run off. I’ve walked for the past 20 minutes and taking a few steps more I see my school in the distance. I then stop in my tracks looking back and looking at the school. I sigh and walk in the different direction from school finding myself in a place where all thugs, thief’s and other bad people hang out but I wasn’t scared to be honest they look more humble to me than scary or dangerous. As I continue to walk I look around and see kids all over in ally ways and In abandoned buildings looking at me and other to see if we drop something so then they can collect it and get food or something. I continue to walk until I spot the other teens I sometimes hang out with sitting in their usual spot on the steps of a burned down building. I see one of the kids lock eyes with me and he says “ yo what up ace!” When he said the four other kids stop their conversation’s and look at me with a smile. It’s not the happy to see me kinda smile it’s a smile meaning that they want to have fun and get into a lot of trouble with me taking the lead. I look straight at the kid and say “ don’t call me ace.” He laughed and said “ what are you gonna do about it ace!” In a playful kinda way which annoyed me very much. I turn my head while rolling my eyes from his comment while turning I see a girl behind me her name was violet she was the first person I met when I came into this part of town six years ago she was two years older than me and she extended her hand to me when I had been trying to run away from my stepdad. “Hey.” I said. She looked at me and said “ what are you doing her Adriana.” That’s so like Vi. she always asked what I was doing here she never just went along with going into conversations after greeting one another. It was kinda annoying at first but I’m used to it now. “ I came for some money.” I said. She look at me straight in the eye and had a look of confusion but understood why I said that. “Okay” she said and everyone got up and we started to look and see what stores would be the easiest to steal from, though we didn’t have guns doesn’t mean we couldn’t fake a rubbery and since police don’t usually don’t come on this side of town it easy to threaten others and get what you want. While all of us spot this rundown super market they push me ahead as If saying for me to take the lead. I roll my eyes and just go with it. While on my way a feel a presence behind me I turn and see that Vi. was behind me. We go in together but before anything the guy had already put money in a bag and said “ no need for threats or fake gun showings I have it all here.” He said in a very calm voice. I look at him while grabbing the bag and he says “ I’m used to it. It’s all good I know you need money and this is all I have right now.” With that I said “ thanks.” and walked away with the bag. Everyone was cheering and laughing but while I was walking I see two kids outside there old house and a man yelling at them. As I continue to scan the scene more I begin to see another figure. It was a women. It was probably there mom because she was standing in the middle of him and her kids. I couldn’t see her before since he was really big he could hide all three of them if he wanted to. While I was lost in thought I hear a scream. I snap out of my thoughts and see that the lady who was just standing is now on the ground with her knees scrapped and are bleeding. I look and see that the guy is now moving towards his kids with his hands turned into fists without hesitation I sprint towards him and tackle him to the ground. He’s confused but angry at the same time I start to slap him and punch him in the face letting my anger out from whenever my stepdad hit me at this time a felt nothing but rage. I continued until a felt a pair of arms wrap under my arms and pull me off the guy who was clearly passed out and bleeding a lot. I was gasping for air and I could continue to hear the person’s voice behind me saying to calm down and get a grip it was clearly violets voice since the only person I usually listen to is her. I begin to calm down and look at the kids while looking at them I can tell that they needed comfort. I looked towards Vi. and nod my head signaling that I’m okay she lets go of me and with that I walk towards where the bag of money is grab a few bucks out and walk over towards the kids. They look up at me and hug each other thinking I’m going to hurt them. I kneel down on one knee and give them the money they so desperately needed and give them a warm small smile. They lower there guard towards me and take the money giving the most brightest smiles in the world. I get up and go towards the woman and say “ if I were you I’d take them somewhere safer.” The lady looks towards me and nods and says “ thank you” with a warm smile on her. I quickly turn and begin to walk away from them and everyone else. Violet stops me dead in my tracks and asks “ where are you going? Don’t you want to hang out more?” I look at her and say “ you know I’m not one to hang out here that long Vi.” I continue to walk out and hear the voices begin to fade while leaving.
