(Tracey’s POV) After Lucas and I talked a little while longer, I finally went back to my room. I had so much to think about and no time to do so. But I knew one thing for sure… I couldn’t stay here. So I grabbed my backpack from the closet and checked to be sure I had everything I would need. Then I shoved a few changes of clothes in there, sat it back inside my closet, and waited. Once I was sure everyone had gone to sleep, I pulled my pack onto my back and quietly slipped out of my room, down the stairs, and out of the house. I hid in the bushes until the security team made their nightly rounds, then climbed the tree by the fence and dropped down onto the street. From there, I set off on foot.
