(Tracey’s POV)
As I walked into my bedroom, my phone rang. I was so busy with my thoughts about everything that'd happened that I didn’t even think about what I was doing and simply answered it. The minute I said “Hello?” and that voice came through, I froze.
“Well, well, well. I've missed your voice so much, baby-girl. Have you missed me too? Of course, you have. Don’t worry, though. I’m almost there. I’ll be coming for you very soon. When I get there, anyone who gets in my way will regret it. Until then, enjoy your time by the pool. See you soon, baby-girl.”
He hung up after that without me uttering another word. Panic set in quickly and I slid to the floor, pulling my legs against my body with my knees against my chest as I wrapped my arms around them and began rocking back-n-forth.
