I just stood there. Like a god d*mn idi*t. Staring at him with my mouth hanging open. “Say something. Please.” His voice broke as he spoke, and I could hear how nervous he was, but for some reason my mind just couldn’t seem to form words. Like, at all.
“Tracey, please.” He said and I blinked. I felt like everything around had stilled and that we were the only ones in this moment in time.
