(Lucas’ POV)
Everyone wound up spending the night due to the torrential rain. The power didn’t come back on until about three in the morning. Thankfully, the rain brought with it a cold snap, so we had no need of the air conditioning.
When we got up this morning, things weren’t much better. The rain was still coming down in sheets. We tried looking out the window to see if the rain had begun to at least slow, but we couldn’t even see the building next to ours.
“Looks like we’ll be getting room service for breakfast.” I said as I turned back to Tracey who was sitting on the edge of the bed looking so pretty with her hair all messy from sleep which still lingered in her eyes.
