(Lucas’ POV)
Around twelve-thirty, there was a soft knock at my door and I called out, “Come in.” A second later Sarah was poking her head in with a smile as she said, “Hey boss. Just letting you know that today’s meeting has been pushed to next week.”
D*mn. I forgot about that. Well, I guess this is good news, then. “Thank you, Sarah.” I said with a nod before looking back down at my computer screen. “You’re welcome, boss.” Sarah said and as she was closing the door I heard the sweetest giggle coming from outside.
The sound was melodic, and I was curious who that angelic sound belonged to. But should I go look? I mean, would I come off as nosy or something? Maybe Sarah has a family member visiting her for some reason. No, can’t be. She would have introduced me. Wouldn’t she?
