(Lucas’ POV)
It’s been a full week since the accident. Mom is now home, though we still spend all day at the hospital with my dad, who is now out of the ICU and not on as many pain meds, so he’s more awake and aware now. The only problem is that he’s got some memory loss.
The doctors believe it’s only a temporary thing, but he’s been extremely frustrated by it. I can’t say that I blame him there. I would be frustrated too.
Unfortunately, the things he’s forgotten have all been things involving Tracey. Or more accurately, her situation. He doesn’t remember White, or the trip through Mexico, or even the accident.
