A few days later, we were boarding a plane. The flight was long but smooth.
We got to our new place the same day as our belongings did. So the first thing we did was get our beds in place. I suffered something awful from jet lag for days afterward, but I didn't let it stop me from helping with unpacking.
Our new place was nice. It had five bedrooms, two bath’s, a large kitchen and dining room that was open concept, and a nice sized living room area. I was in love with the finished basement, though. Emmie and I were talking about turning it into a game room. I can’t wait.
Other than unpacking, I also started looking for employment. About three days after arriving here, I had put in so many applications. I think every business within fifty miles of our new house
