(Lucus’ POV) We stood there talking with the realtor for a few more minutes before wishing her goodbye. She turned away and went back inside without so much as a glance back at us. I mean, she seemed nice enough. So I’m ‘optimistically hopeful’. Oh, who the h*ll am I kidding? I felt so d*mn defeated as I turned to head back to my car. I really thought this would at least be a step in the right direction, yah know? But it was just another dead end, just like all the rest.
