(Grant’s POV)
All week long, Emmitt, Ron, and I have been chasing down every rabbit-hole we’ve come across to figure out who Norm really is. Ron and I are certain at this point that Norman Dreffs is not his birth name. It actually looks like the Norman part was given to him by his first foster family. But when he went to his last foster family, he took their last name apparently because they wanted to legally adopt him.
For some reason, he decided not to follow through on the adoption but kept their family name anyway. We’ve checked, and he hasn’t spoken to any of his foster families in the last two years. Which is right around when he started his internship with my company.
He’s a very intelligent kid. At age fifteen, the boy has already fast tracked his way all through grade school,
