(Tracey’s POV)
I woke up after a short nap feeling much better than I’d been. Knowing Grant was coming home today had really lightened my spirits, and I was really looking forward to seeing him.
I’ll admit I’ve been mostly avoiding him since the accident, but only because I’m afraid being around me might jar his memory too quickly, then he’ll get worse instead of better. I didn't want that. As a result, I've been keeping everything bottled up inside of me for a while now. But I finally broke down late last night while Lizzy and I were working in the nursery.
Through my sobs she was able to work it out that I was afraid of making things worse, and she pulled me into a motherly embrace as she said, “Sweetheart, that is so sweet of you. But I can a*sure you nothing of the sort will happe
