“Are you joking?” I ask him as I continue to look at him from the other side of the tub. “I don’t understand this obsession with Josey, but if she bothers you that much, I’ll look at placing her someplace else when we get back to the Silver Crescent Pack,” he says. I feel like he’s trying to pacify me, but frankly I’ll take it for the short-term. “Did Amelie ever say anything about why she didn’t want Josey around?” I ask Colby. “Kate, Amelie is a little girl with an over-active imagination, she never said anything else, and I never pushed her on it,” he replies. “She was right about your ex-girlfriend,” I remind him.
Before I met Colby, his ex-girlfriend Jessica was jealous that he had stopped dating her when we found each other. She scared Amelie into being afraid of me. Ameli
