Everyone was startled that the woman who interrupted our meeting was none other than Maddie’s mother. Nobody was more shocked than Maddie. She had not decided whether she wanted to see her mother so to have her simply show up and crash the meeting was gut wrenching for her. As Maryse walked in both Colby and Drake moved closer to each of us respectively. There was something in the way she moved that caused everyone to be on edge.
