Time stood still. Everyone was frozen. And quiet. There was no sound as everyone stood there looking at the scene unfolding in front of them. You could see Maryse’s hands at Maddie’s neck. You could see the look of horror on Drake’s face. I clenched the back of Colby’s shirt. Reid stood there looking at Drake and Maddie in shock. And Maryse had a faint smile on her face. I could not see Maddie.
Then suddenly everything happened in fast forward. Yelling. Drake screaming “NO!”. Maddie falling backwards into Drake’s arms and Maryse’s standing there with a shocked look on her face. As Drake caught Maddie’s body, he slid to the ground with her in his arms. Watching Maryse she started to fall like a rag doll. Her legs crumbled under her as she fell straight down to the ground.
