Chapter 8

Sandra (P.O.V)

A week has gone by and the mysterious guy hasn't shown up ever since that day. Although I felt relieved in a way, part of me earn to see him again. As I went along with my daily activities, his face got stuck on my mind as unspoken questions ran through my mind. "Have I scared him away with the way I glared dumb at him that day?" I asked myself rhetorically with my eyes stuck at a nearby window in my class. Still uncertain, I guess I have to let him off my mind because I don't think he will come by again, and having any boy distraction is something I so much want to avoid.

Grateful that the week has finally passed by. As I got to my class the next Monday, Pearl came over to me alongside Bella, her eyes glowed with so much excitement.

We sat in class listening to her experience with Mr. Mike.

"Well" Pearl let out with flickering eyes, her lips stretched in a smile. "You girls know that I won't go over to his house dressed as a saint," she laughed wholeheartedly, "When I got into his apartment, he just couldn't get his eyes off me, I noticed the way he stared at my body, especially my boobs, you know that I have a rapid growth and my boobs look nice and firm" she giggled touching the edge of her blouse. "I am sure he got hooked, I acted so nice and carefree with him, we talked like best friends, Netflix, and chill together but it's not the kind of chill you guys are thinking about right now" she laughed with her fingers caressing her hair. "And guess what girls?" she asked rolling her eyes.

"You know that I am bad at guessing Pearl" Bella asserted with a smile.

Pearl glanced at me but I laughed waving my hand, "Just spill it out girl" I said laughing.

"Alright girls" Pearl replied laughing, "When I was about to leave, he hugged me so tightly, I could feel his hot breath on my face, it was so sexy" she squealed happily. " And of course, he invited me to over next week Saturday, we exchanged phone numbers and I drove back home "She explained boastfully as Bella laughed excitedly.

" I know you will be hard on him girl" I cheered her happily, honestly, I am so happy with her result.

One thing I admire about Pearl is that she will do anything to get want she wants, giving up is never in her dictionary and honestly, I am proud of her.

During lunch, Pearl went over to Mr. Mike's office while Bella and I ate together at the cafeteria. As we talked, Max and his basketball mates walked past us, our eyes met and I quickly looked away. Ever since I rejected his approval, I feel odd looking at him, I don't want to feel guilty about anything

"Sandra," Bella let out glaring at me.

I turned to her with enlarged eyes, "What?" I asked softly.

Gently, Bella picked up a chip and placed it in her mouth "What about the guy from the other day?" she implored curiously, "The stranger Pearl talked about, Did you later get the chance to meet him again" she asked as she took a sip from her soda.

I looked down at my plate of salad with a nod, "No, I haven't" I replied, "And I pray not to see him again" I asserted even though I know it's a lie.

Ever since that day, I couldn't stop thinking of him, I couldn't even forget his face, especially those blue eyes of his that captivated me, honestly, I want to see him again but at the same time I don't want that because I know the effect he will have on me if we get to lock eyes together.

"That's sad," Bella said staring at me,

" But I have this feeling that you will get to meet him again" she sighs deeply.

"Sandra" she called out softly as she placed her hand on mine tenderly, "Promise me that you won't let Pearl know about this news I am about to tell you," She said.

I stared back at her surprised as I sat up, her expression made it clear that is so-called news is dear to her, "I promise that I won't " I assured her.

Bella sighed again, "We'll, it not a big deal anymore, things like this happens to me all the time, it's like I am cursed" she let out with pain written in her eyes.

I tenderly stroked the back of her hand, "You can tell me anything and you are not cursed, don't say that" I said clearly.

Bella sighed again, "Well, Jude and I broke up last night," she confessed with sadness written all over her face.

I sat still surprised at the sudden news. Bella just started dating and I know that deep down, she loves this guy so much. I stroked her hand gently "Why dear? What happened?" I inquired still surprised.

Bella tugged her hair behind her ear, she breathed deeply with a sad smile "I found out that he has a girlfriend, he was just playing me these past 2 months and I foolishly feel for his lying ass" She explained bitterly.

I glared at her with shocked eyes. Does Jude have a girlfriend? I never expected this bitter truth. He looks so innocent and not the lady's man but with this news, it is so damn hard to comprehend.

Boys! Rascals and heart breakers, they are only good at just that, nothing else. I was boiling with anger inside me but I had to act cool in front of Bella, I don't want to add more pain to her distress.

I placed my hands across the table as we held hands "Look at me Bella" I instructed firmly and she did, I could see tears welling up in her eyes and the sight of that broke my heart "Don't cry, you don't have to make him see you this weak. You are way too good for him and he f**king lost a priceless gem he can never acquire ever again. When he will realize this, he will regret it, just forget about him and move on baby, you deserve it. better and I know the right guy will come soon" I assured her with an encouraging smile on my face.

Bella looked at me and smiled briefly.

After lunch, Bella found the courage and informed Pearl about her breakup with Jude. Immediately Pearl heard it, her face became red with anger and she was ready to hit someone right on the face. "You have to calm down Pearl" Bella begged but Pearl didn't hear any of it, she was so angry and promised to deal with him.

Bella begged and told her to forget about the issue, she has decided to forgive him and accept her fate.

She assured Bella that she will get over the breakup soon but deep inside, I know that Pearl will give Jude a piece of her mind whenever she sees him.

After school closing hour that day, I found Kate outside my class as she stood waiting patiently.

"Hi sis" she smiled as she saw me coming out. I raised an eyebrow, I know that smile of hers and I won't fall for it this time, "I am not doing you any favors again Kate" I noted walking past her. She walked towards me laughing, "Please sis, I will pay you from my allowance fee this time".

I turned to her, I didn't believe any of her words, Kate always fails to keep to her words all the time, " You want me to believe you this time?" I inquired with doubt written all over my face.

Filled with smiles, Kate walked up to me and gently touched my cheek, "I will keep to my words this time" she said.

I rolled my eyes and walked past her, "I have heard that a thousand times sis, you know that" I replied.

She ran after me, "I am serious this time, pinky promise" she said.

Hearing the pinky promise, I turned to her, "What do you want Kate?" I asked as I held my backpack closely.

Her eyes shone in delight, "Well, Charles is hosting a party at his house tomorrow evening and a want you to be there" she let out.

I broadened my eyes at her request, "A party?" I said almost yelling, "Kate, you know that I am not the party type, I don't have time for parties right now. I have assignments to submit and books to read, no Kate, I can't, I am sorry" I asserted walking away.

Kate quickly held my hand, "Come on, don't be such a bore, it's just a party and most kids here will be invited, it's not like you will be amid strangers" she softened her eyes, "Please Sandra, just this once" She pleaded.

I glared at her with a frown, I don't want to go but my hands were tied right now, "Okay, fine but I won't wait till the party is over" I told her.

Kate squealed and hugged me excitedly, "You are the best," she said and walked away. Charles came over to her, held her hand and they walked Out of school together. Pearl and I followed Bella to the theater for her final practice, the play will take place tomorrow and I can't wait.

After practice, we walked home together, Bella got to her destination first, followed by Pearl then I.

Immediately I got home, I walked into my room, rinsed my face, and laid on the bed, I was so tired and a little nap won't hurt.

I closed my eyes and shifted off quickly, surprisingly, the thought of the mysterious guy didn't come to my mind, and for the first time in many nights...I slept peacefully.
