It was then he noticed that his strength had faded somewhat and his light had dimmed. So, that was the basis of the trap. It sapped the power from anything that walked across it, and since Dean’s power was much higher than a human’s, he was going to be here a very long time.
Looking off to the sides of the chamber, he could barely make out tunnels leading off in different directions and intertwining. Dean felt the presence of vampires lurking in the darkness… the ones that attempted to ambush Kat had not even been a fraction of the nest congregated here. Either that or the ones he had scattered were returning.
