DAWN’S POV “You are a monster.” Those were the only words that left my mouth before I turned and ran out of the room. I did not look back. I could not. The moment I said those words, it felt as though the last piece of hope I was holding unto broke, it was something small but important, something that had I held on for far too long. I ran through the hallway as my chest tightened painfully with every step. I felt light-headed, angry, heartbroken, afraid, and somehow still determined, all at the same time. I did not stop until I reached my room and slammed the door shut behind me. My breaths were loud and shaky as I rushed to the small drawer beside my bed. My hands trembled while I pulled it open, scattering some papers on the floor. I did not care. My mind was only focused on one thing
