Chapter 6A meal cart bumped along the aisle. The flight attendant, pushing it, displayed a little cardboard box. “Snack?” Oscar reached for one. “Thank you.” With the morning’s excitement, he hadn’t eaten yet. Surprisingly, he lost his appetite. The lack of sleep weighed on him. He’d spent too much time writing. After peeking in the box and finding nothing perishable, he stashed it in his bag for later. “Something to drink?” “Water, please.” He took the cup and put it on the tray next to the computer. “Thanks.” The cart rolled on, and another attendant came by with customs forms and little pencils.
