Chapter 24When the doorbell rang, Oscar glanced up from the computer. Before answering, he peeked out the window. It was Karen. She looked drawn. He opened the door and stretched out his arms to her. She stepped in. They hugged. “What happened?” It had been weeks. “You don’t answer your phone anymore? I’ve been worried.” “I needed some time.
