THE WOLF CASTER

The blue blood pack was a hive of activity, today they were welcoming home Alpha Zane and Luna Alexis’s son Lennox, after 3 years of extensive combat training at the Royal Moon Packs international training center in the middle of Alaska he was finally coming home on the day of his 18th birthday. Luna Alexis gracefully but with an authoritative tone gave orders to the left and to the right the omega of the pack worked quickly and quietly executing the Lunas every order to perfection. As the whole pack hurried to prepare for Lennox’s return, Leah the Pack witches daughter found it the most opportune time to run off to the white waterfall. The waterfall was in a secret part of the woods only known by the Alpha’s family and Leah’s family. Leah was a hybrid her mother the pack witch her father the packs BETA (second in command). Leah arrived at the waterfall and without wasting another minute she stripped down to her underwear and dived in.  Leah was surrounded by the silk like sensation wrapped around her body as she waded in the pool at the bottom of the falls. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply taking in her surroundings as she relaxed to the sound of the falls crashing into the pool below. She began to drift deep in thought until she was suddenly brought back by her fathers’ voice in her head demanding to know where she was. Leah rolled her eyes as she muttered “stupid wolfly mind link s**t”. She calmed herself and communicated her pre planned excuse to her father, she explained that she needed practice her spells and prepare for her first shift and for this to happen without distraction she gently persuaded her father that her spending a few days at the waterfalls in their cabin was the best possible solution. Leah hoped this was enough to get her out of attending the welcome home party. Although her father was not happy with Leah’s timing he agreed with a sigh. Overcome with absolute sense of victory Leah smiled so big her smile touched her eyes and she raised her fist out of the water and into the air. She quietly mind linked her father again with a very sweet thank you daddy, Leah’s dad was well aware his daughter had him wrapped around her little finger still at the age of nearly 18 he smiled as he chuckled loudly. Alpha Zane looked at his Beta addressed him “Max let me guess it’s Leah, right?” Max (Leah’s Dad) was now laughing at his daughter as she continued to mind link her father with an unending number of compliments, Max nodded at Alpha Zane unable to speak because of humor his daughter was providing. Alpha Zane smiled at his Beta who most of the time showed little to no emotion however when it came to his daughter, he lit up full of emotion. Max realized he was starting to draw more attention, so he said goodbye to his daughter and broke the mind link. Zane and Max had been best friends their whole lives they had fought numerous pack wars together as did their fathers they were inseparable even their mates were best friends the moon goddess made it clear that these 2 families would forever journey together side by side for eternity and that through every generation their bond would strengthen. Both Zane and Max worried as it was expected that Lennox and Leah would be great friends and continue the family’s strong friendship bond. This was not the case Lennox and Leah had never met Leah was raised until she was 15 with her mother’s coven and when she returned to the pack Lennox had left for Alaska. Both men knew that there was no point forcing the issue what would be would be.
