Epilogue358 days later (New Year’s Eve): Ramon Angie told me that my Buenos Aires postcard was in his mailbox when he got home on the eighth. Or rather, he took a picture of the message with his phone and texted it to me. The message read: Best Vacation Ever. Let’s do it again. I’d drawn a heart around it. Angie’s caption for the picture: ASAP. We didn’t go this year, because we’d both put a lot of time and money into setting up our new lives in North Carolina.
