So I finally said it. A dozen or so days since the words first crossed my mind. Such a relief to let them out.
I knew I had to say it first. He was changing his whole life to fit into the new one I was committed to. A guy like Ramon wouldn’t do that unless he had real feelings, and I definitely did, so even though we’d both skated around the words before, now was the time.
