The She Alpha

Chapter 5

Eva’s POV

I can feel my weakness slowly dissipating. My once purple veins are now back to normal.

“I need to find something nice to wear to James and his new mate’s ceremony. What color do the think would look best against my skin?” Mindy questions as if everything is perfectly normal.

“Cat-s**t green would be the perfect color.” I growl. She is such a self absorbed asshole just like her father.

Mindy stands from the chair at the other side of the basement and makes her way towards me. I place my hands in my lap and try to wiggle them between my thighs before she noticed the polythene barrier lining the cuffs. Her eyes never leaving mines as she raises her hand and slaps me straight across my face. The sound echoes through the basement. A warm metal flavor trickles in my mouth.

“Be smarter next time She Alpha. You are currently at my mercy.” She whispers while kneeling to get eye level with me.

I feel my anger building and my wolf instincts growing more protective of my human form. I need to push her a little further so I shift in a protective rage.

I spit a mouthful of blood in her face. A look of utter disgust and shock washed over her face. She suddenly stands and stares blankly at the wall. Someone must be mind linking her. She walk back to the opposite side of the room and calmly takes a seat wiping her face with the bottom of her shirt.

I put my head down and close my eyes focusing only on mind linking my father.

Beta Miles and Mindy kidnapped me. I don’t have time to explain but I am in the basement. Beta Miles is not here. It’s only Mindy. Don’t tell anyone. Just come soon.

Messer’s POV

“We have searched every floor. She has is not here and neither is her scent. I am still waiting to hear back from the search teams that were sent to the forest and our boarder patrol men.” I say in defeat.

“I don’t understand. How can she just vanish. We had to have missed something.” Alpha Kane says pulling me aside. Before I had could make any other search suggestions, he stares of in the the distance. His tired crystal blue eyes go black.

“You are in the same search party as your father, is that correct?” He questions coldly.

“Yes Sir.” I respond.

“And has anyone been assigned to search the basement?” He is now shaking.

“Umm. Uh. I don’t know sir. I would have to ask my father. He sent the search parties out.” I say stumbling over my words.

“Go tell your team we are going to the basement now.” He says in a deep growl.

As we all make our way down the elevator and to the basement, I take a deep breath and pick up her scent. It’s not the same scent that is on her clothes. It’s her sweet blood scent. The elevator can not take us down fast enough as I tremble in fear.

The doors open and Alpha Kane and I step into the basement together followed by my father and the six others in our search party. Giving my eyes a minute to adjust to the dim lighting, as I am still in my human form, I see a figure sitting in a chair in the corner of the basement. It’s Mindy. As I start walking towards her, I hear a chain hitting against metal and look to the opposite side of the basement. It’s Eva.

She is looking only at her father and gives him a nod.

“Max, Zack, and Reed escort the lovely Ms. Mindy to a holding cell. Be sure to use wolfsbane cuffs.” Alpha Kane orders.

“Yes Sir.” The all nod.

“Jen and Izzy go to the conference room next to my office and start a report on Mindy. I will be looking it over in the morning and handing it over to the council by lunch tomorrow.” He states sternly.

“Luca. You will be staying as a credible witness.” Kane smiles.

I hold my composure while my sister is hauled off in the the elevator taking almost everyone with her. As the doors close, I attempt to rush over to Eva when Alpha Kane’s hand firmly grips shoulder.

“Alpha. My apologies Sir. Mindy was completely out of line. I will see to it that she is punished accordingly.” My father stresses as he walks up from behind us and makes his way to unchain Eva.

As he gets closer, her eyes turn dark black with glittery purple sparkles beaming through them. I go to step towards them and I am pulled back once again by Alpha Kane. Before I could object, Eva shifts breaking the cuffs around her wrist, chain around her waist, and ropes her legs were bound with. Her beautiful giant grey wolf and breath taking purple eyes have it’s sights are set on prey. It’s prey being my father.

Eva let’s out a loud growl sending everyone shifting in terror. She crouches down and lunges at father sending him flying into an old metal filing cabinet. He howls in pain as she continues to drag and toss him around like a rag doll. She backs off allowing him to weakly stand on all fours. Eva, as well as my father, get into their fight stances once again. He lunges first this time digging his left claws deep into her right side. She roared in pain rolling to the ground he jumps on her rolling around in battle. Eva finally is able to push him off. As he flies in mid air backwards she leaps up. Her large brutal teeth making contact with his throat completely ripping his head off.

I can’t seem to do anything but watch in shock and terror with Alpha Kane and Luca.

Eva’s POV

My wolf is staring down proudly at the dismembered wolf head that was Beta Miles. I promised to kill him and I am a wolf of my word.

I turn to see my father, Luca, and Messer all in wolf form staring in awe. They quickly bow to me in acceptance and respect. I turn and walk over Beta Miles who after death turned back to his human form still decapitated. I rip another piece of the polythene sheet and wrap it around me as I shift back into my tiny human form. My father and Luca follow suit while Messer stares from his dead father to me. He looks as though I betrayed him and broke his heart. Unfortunately for him, I’m not sorry. I would do it all over again.

“Alpha!” Luca cries excitedly. He places his arms around me in a big bear hug! “I can’t wait to tell everyone!”

“Thank you Luca. Could you take my father up to his office. I’ll be there in a second. I need to speak to Messer alone.” I ask politely as if he didn’t just see me kill someone.

“Right away Alpha Eva.” He promptly responds. Luca and my father make their way to the elevator and I lean my human form against Messer’s wolf. He nudges me away.

“I hope you can forgive me. If you can not, you will at least respect me. I now appoint you my Beta.” I say confidently.
