love is too beautiful not ugly
This is the story of a girl whom the world called ugly. Leave strangers aside—even her own parents and siblings felt ashamed to walk beside her. They didn't even consider her a part of their family; they only refrained from throwing her onto the street out of fear of society. She was being raised among her own people just like an animal—receiving little food and endless humiliation.
Although she was the eldest among her siblings, she never received the respect she deserved. Nain was a girl who loved her family deeply. She always believed that if she took good care of everyone, they would love her back one day. But how could that naive girl comprehend today's world? How could she realize that the people she considered family saw her as nothing more than a burden? All they could see was her dark complexion, which they despised.
In the labor room of a renowned hospital in the city, a woman was screaming in labor pain. Outside, her husband stood praying to God with folded hands for the safety of his wife and child:
"God, please save my wife. I love her very much. Please save my Janki."
Inside, the doctor was encouraging the woman so she could have a normal delivery. After a painful struggle, the joyful cry of a newborn baby echoed from the labor room. Hearing it, the man standing outside thanked God with joy. The woman who had just given birth lay down with her eyes closed in exhaustion.
After a short while, she opened her eyes and asked the nurse standing nearby, "My baby?"
The nurse smiled and replied, "Yes, I’ll bring her right away."
The nurse cleaned and bathed the baby, brought her to the mother, and said with a smile, "Congratulations! You have been blessed with a baby girl."
Hearing this, the woman was thrilled and said, "Her father won the bet against me! He always wanted us to have a lovely, moon-like beautiful daughter."
Upon hearing the woman's words, the nurse holding the baby felt her smile fade slightly. However, putting a smile back on her face, she handed the child over to her.
As soon as the woman looked at the baby's face, it was as if she had seen something horrifying. She screamed at the nurse, "What kind of joke is this? Whose baby is this?!"
"Ma'am, this is your baby," the nurse replied.
Hearing this, the woman flew into a rage. "Look, sister, don't joke with me! I know very well this isn't my daughter. Look at me first, and then look at the baby's skin color! Do you really think she could be my daughter?"
Hearing these words, the nurse stared at her in utter shock, wondering what kind of mother refuses to recognize or accept her own newborn simply because of her dark complexion.
Attracted by the commotion, her husband rushed in from outside. When he saw the baby’s face, he screamed at the nurse too: "No, this isn't our baby! This is someone else's child. Look at the two of us—does this child look like ours from any angle? When both of us are so fair, how can our baby be dark?"
The nurse stared in disbelief at these two educated people, unable to grasp how people so educated could think this way.
The husband and wife began creating a loud scene in the hospital. Hearing the chaos, the female doctor who had delivered the baby hurried into the room and asked, "What on earth is going on here? Why are you causing such a disturbance in the hospital?"
Seeing the doctor, the husband said, "Doctor, my name is Kailash Sharma, and this is my wife, Janki Sharma. My wife gave birth today, but your nurse is trying to hand us someone else's child instead of our baby! Do we look like fools that she can just thrust anyone's child upon us?"
Recognizing Janki, the doctor said, "Ma'am, look, I delivered your baby myself. This child is indeed yours."
However, the couple refused to accept the baby under any circumstances and began throwing accusations at the hospital, claiming that babies were being swapped and that their child had been stolen.
Kailash Sharma immediately called the police to lodge a complaint that his baby girl had been stolen from the hospital. Shortly after, a police officer arrived and questioned everyone.
The nurse and the doctor told him the absolute truth. The doctor explained, "Look sir, I conducted this lady's delivery myself, and this baby belongs to both of them. I don't know why they refuse to accept her, but baby-swapping does not happen in our hospital."
Hearing the doctor's explanation, the couple began defending themselves, "No sir, they swapped our baby! Officer, check the CCTV cameras in this hospital, and the truth will come out."
The police officer then reviewed the CCTV footage in front of everyone. The footage clearly showed that the baby belonged to Janki Sharma and Kailash Sharma.
Even after seeing the evidence and understanding that the baby was indeed theirs, there was no maternal love or affection in their eyes.
The doctor quietly whispered to the police officer, "Sir, they just want to abandon this child because of her dark skin color. Please do something, or a great injustice will be done to this baby."
Listening to the doctor and looking at the husband and wife, the police
