Leaving the hospital was the hardest thing I had ever done, but I knew if I didn’t sort this crap out with Ryan now, he’d be in the wind before I could blink. This guy had already crawled into a hole and disappeared for three years once before I wasn’t allowing him to do it again.
My guys managed to find him. He had moved out of the crap motel I found him in when Zoe ran off to another equally crap hotel on the other side of town. I was going through everything I was going to do with the prick in my head to occupy me while we drove there, and trust me, it was a very long list.
What I wasn’t planning on was having company when I arrived, so image my surprise when I saw Max’s car in the car park when we pulled in. It wasn’t hard to spot a six-figure vehicle at a one-star motel
