10The values of the wolves were very different from that of the bears. The children were babysat by a variety of relatives. Samantha saw a few of them on the tours that she had taken around the whole compound. The feats of engineering needed to make this many-leveled fortress were impressive. Samantha didn’t know how something like this could be constructed in secret. It wowed her more than the bears’ fortress.
Even though the bears’ stronghold was about the same size, the many-storied nature of the wolves’ place just read as more impressive. Samantha supposed that it must have taken more planning and a disregard for time taken. This had obviously been built to impress people with the power whereas the bears’ had been built for comfort and relaxation.
