The Moon Elves can live to be 700 years old and become adults when they announce they are one, usually around their 100th birthday. Living in the Forgotten Shadowlands, the tribe thrives in darkness, able to see in the pitch blackness of the forests while not being blinded by the strings of lights lining the edges of their community.

All moon elves seem to have a distinct distrust of any creature that is not of their kind, all of them, except Nobi, a young elf of 63 years and full of desire for an adventure. Along he travels she meets others sharing her desire and so it begins.

The Moon Elves
Nothing compares to the deep sense of self and peace one feels laying under the stars, and so it's not uncommon for creatures of the night to sleep in the open fields of their home, The Forgotton Shadowlands. A dense tangle of gnarled trees, brambles, vines, and overgrowth; these lands once held hundreds of beings of all types but that was many years ago. Now it holds a tribe of Moon Elves, souls that hold deep connections with all that belongs to the mother of night. Connections to the moon, the stars, the sounds, the smells, and all that inhabit its beauty. This connection has granted the most powerful elves a gift, dark sight, which allowed the bearer to see in even the blackest pits with no light. It was so rare that only a few records of it exist, so rare in fact that even with the elves longevity of 700 years, it was almost unheard of to meet one with the gift during a lifetime. Moon Elves were also peculiar in the way they decide maturity. An elf was considered a child for as long as they want to be, only being welcomed as an adult member of the tribe when they declare themselves to be one, usually around their hundredth year of life. They also hold a distrust of everything outside their tribe and their race. It was common knowledge that the world held evil and chaos beyond compare, as well as creatures similar to elves that only cause death and destruction everywhere they step foot. Trust outside the clan was for the weak. It never occurred to any of them that soon their lives would change. No one ever predicted the chaos that was inside the safety of the woods or how that small seed of terror would grow within the next few months. The worst part of it all was that there was no bway to stop it from happening. Everything was already set in motion from the moment the idea sparked.
