CHAPTER 9

A VISIT

Alex's POV

It had been three hours since Luis had delivered the news of finding that she wolf and I had set off immediately not wanting to waste another minute and risk losing my sanity. We made our way to Omega Land,a four hour trip from the park house, which was stationed at our borders.

I remember when I first took over as Alpha not wanting to see too many of those disgusting omegas I pushed most of them to the border boundary and left them alone in exchange every harvest they would give us seventy percent of their harvest,it was simple and clear, and they had never disobeyed or revolted against me..so I left them and had forgotten about them. It didn't matter to me if they died, especially since they were so close to the borders and could be easily attacked by rouges..so I overlooked it..but I didn't expect that,that girl I had been looking for,had been right there ever since.

The car had finally stopped and I could swear I could hear my heart beating from a mile away. My wolf was ecstatic that we had found her and though I hated to admit it with the way my finger flipped up and down the car arm chair,I was too. I got down from the car,taking a deep breath or two and looked around,it was close to winter and winter was at our door with how cold the air was getting,the sky was already dark by the time we arrived here but right now that didn't matter,I needed to calm my wolf and if catching a sight of that disgusting cocky omega would calm him down,I wouldn't object either way. I could feel Kevin roll his eyes mentally.

“It's not like I'm the only one that wants to see her”,he huffed.. but before I could answer I spotted her and for a second I swear I had forgotten to breathe..there she was..among the other lined up omegas.. she was petrified and bared her neck down in submission, probably trying to figure out what's going on.. holding close a little boy of seven or eight.. I wasn't sure. I couldn't help but chuckle. She looked like a rabbit set Free on a hunt to be hunted especially with the way,her eyes glared up on full alert..I cursed myself for finding her cute as I walked closer.

I coughed a little to gain everyone's attention,they Omegas flinched and trembled probably feeling the power flowing off of me and battling with their wolves to not get on their knees and submit. I smirked this was how it was supposed to be..they should know their places but my eyes remained fixated on that very she wolf who tormented my dreams and thoughts but as I stared at her,it was obvious she was afraid with the way she trembled and held on to the boy tighter but her eyes..those eyes.. weren't willing to submit..remained stubborn…I'll start by breaking that.

“ Alpha,we have rallied them all up”,one of my high ranking warriors said by the name ‘Devin’,I nodded at him, walking towards the Omegas before then stopping in front of them

“You all should probably be wondering why I'm here…”,I began but was interrupted.

“Alpha,if this is about the harvest,I promise it will be ready before winter..so please..”,an old woman spoke up hurriedly,the clear horror written on her face as she begged.

“How dare a mere-”, one of warriors glared at her for interrupting me, but I stopped him by raising my hand in the air,my eyes fixated on the girl who was now shielding the old woman though she was too afraid to look up.. she still stood there.. determined and..it amazed me yet it annoyed me. I reminded myself why I was here. ..I didn't come to get my hands bloody nor dirty.

Yes..my legacy and rumors had deemed me a bloodthirsty, ruthless monster that just my mere presence frightened them all.. and it wasn't too far off the truth..I wouldn't hide it..they had the right to be afraid..after all I was a monster and I didn't bother changing their minds nor did I plan to.

“ I came here,in search of Someone,a female omega..who will become my new slave ”, I told them, making sure my voice was loud and clear. I noticed how most of the omegas stepped back, trying to hide among each other..it was ridiculous and utterly funny. I continued staring at her, finding every change in the expression on her face,the most intriguing thing I had ever seen. Her face turned pale as she bit down on her lower lip which continued to quiver as she held the boy closer.

Unexpectedly one of the female omegas, whether it was courage or stupidity I was neither able to tell,raised up her hand.. excitement and fear radiating off of her..

“Alpha choose me, I'll love to be your slave”,she mouthed in a rush,her voice awfully so sweet that it left a bad taste in my mouth. She reminded me of what Omegas truly were. She must have been excited over the thought of being an Alpha's slave..the glory,envy,wealth and honor that came with it..and maybe even the illusion that she could become a chosen mate..it was disgusting..

“Alpha,I can do anything you want me to,I will completely submit to you..pick me, Alpha~”,she came closer, doing the unspeakable by touching me.. disgusting.. and just like a string my fragile control snapped when she released her pheromones,an overly sweet candy smell filled the air. She knew fully well that an omega's pheromones could cause an Alpha to go into runt but she attempted to use that to seduce me.. unfortunately for her,it did the opposite effect..my nails elongated turning into sharp claws and before anyone could blink I slashed into her throat, leaving her choking and holding tightly to her neck to stop the bleeding but it was no use and limply she fell to the ground,staring at me with terror and shock, reaching out her left hand asking for help until she gave up and her eyes dimed, meaning she was dead. Honestly I didn't care or feel even a tinge of guilt for killing her..I was simply disgusted her blood stained my hands.

I glanced at the main reason why I had come here. Our eyes met and all I could see was fear..deep fear as she stared at me like everyone else.. like I was a monster. I walked towards her, arriving right in front of her and then I didn't realize what I was going to do..next..I was going to regret this exact moment again and again in the future..cause this was the start of our ill-fated relationship.

“..What is your name?”,I asked, towering over her, watching her.

She shivered,her eyes wider than before..she was trembling but hesitated to speak.. holding on to that unwilling stubbornness that glowed radiantly in her eyes.

“...What is your name, I'll ask the very last time or I'll..”,I looked down towards the boy, who hid behind her..most probably her brother.. She was still too young to have a pup as big as him. She seemed to get the threat in my voice and figured I wasn't joking and was serious as she hid the boy further away.. growling lowly at me..with her pathetic looking claws out..pathetic..I thought.

“..Be..tty.. it's Betty.. Alpha”,she muttered out slowly,her eyes never leaving mine.. though she was terrified. ‘Betty’ I tried the name out in my head.

“So her name's Betty..”,my wolf howled,pleased to finally know her name, while I coughed at him.

“You will be my new slave..take her”,I directed the order at one of the male wolves but changed my mind mid-way, maybe by instinct the thought of another male wolf holding her.. almost seemed to drive me mad.. it was strange,I had never felt so possessive over someone before but yet here I was and it annoyed me that I didn't know why I did. I groaned as I threw her on my left shoulder..she was small..as light as a feather.. and reminded me of a leaf that one could blow away with a simple breath. The little boy tried reaching for her but was stopped by another female omega, and was busy resisting with all his might, trying to break free.

“ Let me go. Let me go, please..let me go '',she resisted throwing her arms and legs in the air though it was futile. It made me wonder shouldn't she have been happy?, as she was chosen by me.. she would be able to leave this dump but she wasn't thankful..it annoyed me.. what right did she have to refuse me..she was just another filthy omega..so why?..I continued walking back to the car.

“Let me go,I don't want to go with you..I can't be your slave,let me go!!”,she screamed like a mad woman. I glared at her,my eyes flashing electric gold.

“If you don't go with me quietly,I can just burn down everything,this entire filthy omega village to the ground, and it would all have been your fault, it's your choice”, I told her,the light in her eyes shook before dimming as she quietly got into the car.. and I smirked.

“Betty!! Betty!!”,the little boy from earlier broke free from the girl holding him back, crying out and running to our already moving car.

I noticed how she clenched her fists holding on to the hem of her skirt trying to force back her tears as we got further and further away..the little boy’s voice dying down and soon we lost sight of him.

“Why me?”,she asked in a broken voice,of course not recognizing me as the wolf from the forest.. maybe then I should have told her..but I didn't..rather I replied coldly to her, not wanting to tell her..she was driving me crazy not wanting to accept I felt something for an omega.. for this omega.

“ I don't need a reason to choose an Omega,you were just the least disgusting from the rest”,I scoffed out and I noticed how she shook before setting back into her seat,holed up in her own world as she stared out through the car window, thinking about goddess knows what as we rode back to the Park House.
