I sat in my tent, staring at my gun. I was just so worried about them all. Glenn, Jacqui, Andrea. I was so close with them all, I just hoped they were okay. I was suddenly pulled from my thoughts when a siren blared through the air. I grabbed my gun before exiting the tent.
"Talk to me, Dale!" Shane called, walking over to the camper van.
"I can't tell yet." Dale said, looking through his binoculars.
"Is it them? Are they back?" I asked, walking over to the van.
"I'll be damned." Dale exclaimed.
"What is it?" Amy asked.
"A stolen car is my guess." Dale informed as the car pulled up into the camp and exiting was a smiling Glenn.
"Glenn!" I beamed before running over to him and pulling him into a hug. He hugged back, laughing. You see, Glenn was like a brother to me.
"Holy crap. Turn that damn thing off!" Dale snapped as I pulled away from Glenn.
"I don't know how!" Glenn exclaimed.
"Pop the hood, please. Pop the damn hood, please." Shane yelled.
"My sister, Andrea..."
"Pop the damn hood!" Shane snapped.
"Okay okay. Yeah yeah yeah." Glenn said, getting in the car and popping up the hood.
"Is she okay? Is she all right?" Amy bombarded Glenn with questions as Shane turned off the car alarm.
"She's okay! She's okay!" Glenn called.
"Is she coming back?" Amy asked.
"Yes!" Glenn yelled.
"Why isn't she with you? Where is she? She's okay?"
"Yes! Yeah, fine. Everybody is. Well, Merle not so much." Glen trailed. My eyes snapped up to him.
"Merle? What happened to Merle?" I asked.
"Are you crazy, driving this wailing bastard up here? Are you trying to draw every Walker for miles?" Shane yelled, changing the subject.
"I think we're okay." I snapped. He glared at me.
"You call being stupid okay?" He snapped back.
"Well, the alarm was echoing all over these hills. Hard to pinpoint the source." Dale backed me up, earning a glare from Shane. "I'm not arguing. I'm just saying. It wouldn't hurt you to think things through a little more carefully next time, would it?" Dale then snapped at Glenn.
"Sorry. Got a cool car." Glenn smirked. I giggle slightly as a truck pulled up into the camp.
"Amy." Andrea's voice sounded.
"Andrea!" Amy yelled as they ran into each other's arms. "Oh my god! You scared the s**t out of me." She exclaimed. Morales then exited the van and was greeted by his children. I smiled widely when I saw Jacqui and ran over to her. She pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay." I whispered.
"Are you?" She asked, pulling back and holding my head in her hands. I smiled and nodded before we walked up into camp. I saw Carl crying, I think he was hoping that his daddy would be here.
"You are a welcome sight." Dale said, hugging Morales. "I thought we had lost you folks for sure. "
"How'd y'all get out of there anyway?" Shane asked.
"New guy... he got us out." Glenn explained.
"New guy?" I asked.
"Yeah, crazy Vato just got into town. Hey, helicopter boy! Come say hello." Morales called. A man exited the truck dressed in police attire. "The guy's a cop like you." He walked up and his face went emotionless when he saw Shane. The man then looked at Carl and Lori and tears filled his eyes.
"Oh my god." He exclaimed.
"Dad! Dad!" Carl yelled as he began to run at the man. The man took Carl in his arms, crying.
"Carl. Oh!" He cried as he kissed Carl's cheek before they fell to the floor. I smiled at the sight. He then stood up with Carl in his arms and walked over to Lori, pulling her into a hug as well. Tears filled Lori's eyes as she hugged him back, smiling widely.

Night fell on the camp, and Daryl still wasn't back. I tried not to think to much about it but I was still worried. We were all sat around the camp fire, talking to Rick about how he'd survived. That was the guy's name, Rick. I was sat with Glenn, my head rested on his shoulder as Rick spoke.
"Disoriented. I guess that comes closest. Disoriented. Fear, confusion... all those things but... Disoriented comes closest." He explained. Lori was sat next to him whilst a happy Carl, rested in his lap.
"Words can be meager things. Sometimes they fall short." Dale sighed, placing his cup on the floor.
"I felt like I'd been ripped out of my life and put somewhere else. For a while I thought I was trapped in some coma dream, something I might not wake up from, ever." Rick said, as Lori held his hand.
"Mom said you died." Carl said, looking up at Rick.
"She had every reason to believe that. Don't you ever doubt it." He said to Carl.
"When things started to get really bad, they told me at the hospital that they were gonna medevac you and the other patients to Atlanta, and it never happened. " Lori explained.
"Well, I'm not surprised after Atlanta fell. And from the look of that hospital, it got over run." Rick said, nodding.
"Yeah, looks don't deceive. I barely got them out, you know?" Shane told Rick.
"I can't tell you how grateful I am to you, Shane. I can't begin to express it." Rick explained, a sincere look on his face.
"There go those words falling short again. Paltry things." Dale laughed, trying to lighten the mood. The sound of crackling interrupted our conversation as Ed placed another log in his fire.
"Hey, Ed, you want to rethink that log?" Shane called.
"It's cold, man." Ed snapped.
"The cold don't change the rules, does it? Keep our fires low, just embers so we can't be seen from a distance, right?" Shane argued.
"I said it's cold. You should mind your own business for once." Ed yelled. Shane stood up, annoyed, and walked over to Ed. He began talking in hushed tones to him before Carol stood up and pulled the log out of the fire. We watched as Shane stomped out the fire before talking to Carol and leaving.
"Have you given any thought to Daryl? He won't be happy to hear his brother was left behind." I said, raising my eyebrows at Shane.
"I'll tell him. I dropped the key. It's on me." T-Dog piped in.
"I cuffed him. That makes it mine." Rick said.
"Guys, it's not a competition. I don't mean to bring race into this, but it might sound better coming from a white guy." Glenn explained.
"I did what I did. Hell if I'm gonna hide from him." T-Dog sighed.
"We could lie." Amy said, I looked up at her frowning.
"Or tell the truth. Merle was out of control. Something had to be done or he'd have gotten us killed. Your husband did what was necessary. And if Merle got left behind, it is nobody's fault but Merle's." Andrea snapped. I frowned at her too.
"And that's what we tell Daryl? I don't see a rational discussion to be had from that, do you?" Dale asked.
"Well we can't just lie to him!" I snapped. standing up. "You can't just do that to him, that's not right. Amy, what if that was Andrea, huh? Would you wanna be lied to?" I yelled before stomping away.
"We're gonna have our hands full when he gets back from his hunt." I heard Dale say before I entered my tent. I sighed as I sat down. I know Merle can be a douche but he and Daryl have done so much for me. And it's not fair on Daryl if they lied to him. Fifteen minutes later and there was some rustling outside my tent then Rick stuck his head inside.
"Hello." He said.
"Hi." I mumbled.
"Can I come in for a minute?" He asked.
"It's a free country." I said, looking up at him. He climbed inside and sat down next to me. I raised my eyebrows at him, waiting for him to speak.
"So you and Daryl, you two..."
"Together? Yes, why?" I asked.
"Look, I know that you're probably pissed, but we gotta do what's right to keep the people here safe." Rick explained.
"I know that, but trust me, lying to Daryl is a lot worse that telling the truth, plus, he doesn't deserve to be lied to." I said.
"I know, I know, we are gonna tell him the truth, I just need you to be nearby when we do, he'll probably need calming down, and you're probably the only person he'll listen to." Rick explained. I nodded and agreed to his plan before kissing his cheek.
"Thank you for bringing Glenn back safe." I smiled. He nodded before getting up and leaving my tent. I smiled before lying down, knowing that tomorrow was going to probably be hell.
