AVERY skateboarded home quickly, and when she arrived, she saw one of their cars—yes, they had multiple cars—parked right outside the house. She picked up the skateboard and walked up, and she saw that the car wasn’t parked, it had a flat tire. All the tools she needed to change the tire, including the spare, were laid out, but nobody was there. “Oh! Avery.” Someone said. She turned around to see her aunt’s chauffeur. He was a middle-aged man with a smooth chin and graying hair. “Oh, hey, Joe. What happened to the tire?” She asked. Joe sighed. “I was about to change it when Mrs. Clark called. I have to drive her somewhere, so I was just gonna put all this back and do it later. But she’ll be back by dinnertime, which means another late day for me.” “I can do it for you.” Avery offered
