STACY was out for the evening. And the twins were keeping to themselves as long as Avery and Jamie stayed in their respective rooms. She’d been texting Lucas in the morning, on her bathroom break, but then Myra had texted her.
She’d made some excuse to Lucas, but she’d only been able to read Myra’s text before being threatened to come out or the boys would come in.
So now she was texting Myra.
Hey. Are you busy?
Hey. I saw you texted in the morning, what happened?
Luckily, Myra was online. Nothing much, just wanted to talk. It’s been a while.
It has. Avery muffled a sigh. How are you?
Good, I guess. It’s…up and down. You know?
I do. Avery bit her lip. There hasn’t really been much time for any up or down, though. It’s really…hectic here.
I can believe that. Those twins suck.
