SHE blinked. They made their way over. “You can stay for a few minutes, right?” Elena asked. “Aunt Cam will cover for you.” When Avery glanced over, Camilla nodded firmly. “Um, okay,” Avery said uncertainly. “Only for a few minutes, though.” She had cooking to do. The girls led her over to one of the sofas, each sitting on one side of her, and Lucas leaning against the back of the sofa, right behind Elena. “Alex is still at your place?” He asked. Avery nodded.
