Lily stopped smiling when she noticed her husband's glare. Not knowing what to say, she forced a smile, "so we will catch you around later?"
"Oh you will." He had his eyes fixed on Roman as he said the words.
Lily held Roman's hand and pulled him forward so they could head to their destination.
"You don't seem to like Flynn very much." She pointed out.
"Stay away from him, he's a f*****g bastard." Roman spat out, hatred laced through his voice.
"Why?" Lily couldn't hold back from asking.
"He's the bad egg. He's with mom." He simplified his response.
"So why is he here then?"
"Emily is still in touch with him and thinks he is still family no matter what. Of course, she would invite him." He shook his head, "let's not talk about him, tell me about you. I don't really know stuff about you." He stuffed his hands into his pockets, changing the topic.
Lily thought there was more to the story but she didn't push any buttons.
"There's nothing to know about me except that I'm a math teacher and a cat mom." She shrugged.
"Your family life?"
"I wouldn't want to bore you with that but..." she trailed off, realizing he wasn't even listening.
"Roman, listen, you don't have to ask me questions if you're uninterested, or you want to change the topic, it's fine really, let's just do something else." She told him with an assuring smile.
"I'm sorry." Roman shrugged, "he ruined my mood, now all I want to do is go back to the tent."
"That's completely fine." She offered him a smile and led the way back to their room.

The trip was cut short the next day because the men had an important meeting to attend to. Everyone except Emily and Flynn, left with their luggages.
Kim was disappointed but Lily felt more relief than ever, knowing that she was going back to her comfort zone, the mansion.
They all went back in the same vehicle they had come with.
Kim was tired of listening to Adrian pick multiple business calls every second. She was mostly irritated because she still despised him for his words to her.
Roman on the other hand was dealing with the matters from his computer.
Lily stayed on social media talking to her sisters as a means of distraction.
The driver dropped Kim and Lily at the mansion and proceeded to drive the men to work.
Lily couldn't help but comment as the bodyguard escorted them to the house. "You look disturbed, is something wrong?"
"Not your f*****g business." Kim sharply responded, folding her arms.
"I'm sorry." Lily hurried to say under her breath.
Lim sighed and shook her head, "I'm sorry it's not your fault, I'm just so upset about a lot of things. Adrian fuckibg asked me to let go of my modeling career... Do you know how much this means to one? If i had f*****g married Roman none of this would have-"
"Oh please, they are all the same. These men. I can no longer work in my school." Lily rolled her eyes, glad to know that for the first time, she was getting along with Kim.
"Why are they like this?" Kim blinked back her tears.
"Give it a minute and talk to him about it, maybe even Fred, I'm sure he will come around. " Lily assured her.
It was weak and small, but Kim offered a smile, "thanks."
On getting to her bedroom, even though the trip was short lived, Lily couldn't help but feel like she hadn't been here in weeks.
Bored and lost on activities to take, she got her phone out and dialed her mother.
"My little potato!" Mama Johnson beamed into the phone.
"Mom." Lily chuckled back, lying on her back in her pajamas.
She had one leg over her knee and stared at the illuminating light bulbs.
"How's your little trip going?"
"Cancelled."
"The f**k?! All the trip and the fun? The s*x? What happened mi hija?"
"Mom!" Lily groaned, "it was just a business matter intervention. He's gone to work, he should be back before it's late at night."
"He's at work and you are playing housewife? Girl, this man is hot beans, anyone can have him!" Her mother freaked out.
"I'm pretty sure it's hot cake, and what are you talking about?" Lily sat in bed, ready to ignore whatever idea her mother had.
"Do something fun, make him some homemade recipes, something he will only find with you. I don't know, just go see him..."
"Don't you think that might be a little too clingy?" Lily knitted her eyebrows, wondering why she was actually taking the idea.
"Clingy my ass. Who knows, he might even bend you over his desk and..."
"Okay that's enough!" Lily gasped, "seriously mom? Ugh."
Mama Johnson only laughed in response. "Carry on love, update me."
Lily nodded as if her mother would see her, and hung up.
She thought about it and realized she had nothing to lose. The kitchen was filled with a hunch of ingredients and maybe he was tired of eating the same type of food everyday. Maybe the homemade special soup her mother taught her was going to turn out a great help.
She jumped off the bed and headed straight for the kitchen.

As Lily drove quietly in the back seat. She rehearsed what she would say to Roman when she saw him. She hadn't been at the office since the interview but the driver was very willing to take her there.
"Hi, I just thought you might be a little hungry... hi, I made you a meal. Hey, want some soup cause I have some right here... ugh, this makes no sense." She groaned.
Sensing her frustration, the tall and built driver stared at her in the rearview mirror, "it's fine miss, he wouldn't mind."
"Im just nervous." Lily sighed, "but then, what's the worst that could happen anyways?"
She was hoping her short flare gown that showed some of her cleavage would butter him into wanting to try her soup and maybe, just maybe he would actually flip her over a desk.
She had no idea why she even wanted any of this but she was going to do it anyway.
She thanked the driver and asked him to wait until she was done as she made her way into the busy industry.
The security men recognised her and easily allowed her in. It was just as beautiful as she had remembered it to be.
She sat in the waiting room staring at her reflection in the mirror across from her. Her red lipsticks were so distinct and her hair was in one of its boring ponytails but it was neat and no flyways were in sight.
She was still checking for flaws in her reflection when a woman that reminded her of Kim, except this one was shorter, walked by, staring at her.
She was in a sky blue shirt tucked into a navy blue skirt and her tag read secretary. She had short brown hair that was curled at the tips with a side parting. She had a perfect face accentuated by thick and even eyebrows.
Lily felt uncomfortable as this woman walked past. She could have sworn she was staring at her in slow motion. She felt like she had seen her before.
Lily was still waiting to be called on when she heard a familiar voice call, "Mrs Dalmain?"
For a moment, Lily forgot that it was her but when she looked up at Louise, her lips twitched into a smile.
"Oh my goodness, why are you waiting here?" Louise sounded surprised.
"To see Roman." Lily said in a low voice, not liking the attention that was getting to her.
"You shouldn't be waiting here at all! Oh my goodness, please you can go straight to his office anytime at all! You're not just anybody." Louise told her.
Lily stood to her feet and nodded, "thank you." She secured her warmer in a tighter grip and continued down the directed path.
She felt her heart rate increase as she got closer to Roman's office with every passing second. She was about to go in when she stopped short at the door.
Roman was sitting in his chair but his secretary was standing in front of him, crouching a little and undoing her shirt buttons, giving him the grace to see her full breasts in that half bra that barely covered anything.
That wasn't the only part that shocked Lily though. She suddenly realised why the secretary seemed so familiar, she was Roman's girlfriend from the high school picture except... she wasn't dead.
