Lily had no idea what this feeling she had was but she knew she wasn't feeling good.
She hid away from sight, not wanting to be spotted and not wanting to see what they were doing anymore.
She hurried towards the elevator, ignoring Louise's calls for her and leaving the building as quick as possible.
It had been a bad idea to stop by in the first place but then it was a good thing to know her place in his life now, whatever feelings of attachment she had been having, it was going to break off now.

Roman closed his laptop. It was time for him to head back home and for some reason, he was looking forward to it today.
It's because of her, isn't it?
A voice in his head asked him.
He shook it off. It was only because he was going to lay on the comfort of his bed after dealing with the emergency that had come up. Adrian was going to finish the rest of it up on the trip he would be going on.
"Leaving sir?" Louise wondered.
"Hm." He simply responded, feeling his pocket for his car keys.
"Were you able to talk to your wife today? She didn't seem so good when she was leaving so I was wondering." Louise said, unable to withhold her curiosity from going off.
"My wife?" Roman wondered what she meant.
"You didn't see her?" Louise furrowed her eyebrows, standing from her desk. "She was here earlier and I told her she didn't have to wait…"
"What?" Roman sounded like he was genuinely confused. "Never mind." He dismissed, deciding he would ask Lily about it when he got home.
A part of him wondered why she left without seeing him, or why she had come by in the first place. What if something bad had come up? It didn't seem like her to want to come by and see him.
He started his car and dialed her, putting the phone on loudspeaker and driving off. When there was no response, he increased his speed and drove as fast as he could.
He had no idea why he was seemingly so bothered hut he wanted to ensure she was fine.
*
Roman burst into the bedroom, "Lily are you-" he stopped, realizing the room was empty. He flipped his hand to see the time on his wrist watch and when he saw that it was already past ten at night, he made his way to the bathroom.
Knocking on the door slightly, he called, "hey, you came by today. Is something wrong?"
When she didn't respond, he pushed the door open and realizeed it was also empty.
With a frown, he changed out of his suit and into a casual T shirt and a pair of black shorts.
He had no idea where he was going to find her but he grabbed his car keys and continued with his journey.
He spotted Kim in the living room watching Emily's reality show and raised one eyebrow.
She looked over her shoulder at him and returned the gesture.
"Have you seen Lily?" He asked her.
"I think I saw her crying this afternoon? Thought she saw a tragic movie or something. Asked her where she was headed, said she'd be back soon. Isn't she back?" Kim wondered, her mind divided as she tried to focus on the show she was seeing in her transparent pyjamas.
"Fuck." Roman groaned and proceeded to leave the house, taking his black SUV with him. He wanted to contact one of her family members but he didn't have any of their contacts. He made a mental note to get it from the house staff in charge of that information.
He drove around in circles to places he thought she could be, starting from her old house to her school and after asking some of her old neighbours, he decided to involve his team so he could expand his search.
He was about to dial a member of his team when a text messaged popped into his phone. Seeing that it was from Lily, he pulled over and parked by the roadside.
'I just kissed a random person and offered to suck his d**k, how does that make you feel?'
Roman frowned at the message. It didn't seem like her at all. He decided to try her phone number again and this time, she picked up.
"What's good?" She squealed, causing him to wince and put the phone away from his ear at first before bringing it back.
"What's wrong with you? Where are you?" He asked, taking note of how much background noise there was.
"Why do you care so much?" She laughed loudly.
"Lily, are you drunk?" He asked with doubt, starting the car again.
"Why would I be?" She snapped at him, "can't a woman feel good without being called a slut?"
"I didn't call you a- where are you, please." He sighed.
"Some rich night club, took your credit card, bought some expensive drinks, bet you're pained as hell." She chuckled.
"What club is that?" Roman groaned.
"High something, look I don't care what it's called. It's away from you and that's all that matters." She said.
Roman knew exactly where she was and sighed, "just stay there and don't go anywhere."
He turned the car around and increased his speed, "Don't hang up, just stay on the line."
"Make me." She giggled and hung up befire he could say ahy love words.
*
Roman walked into the club. It was filled with dancing youths, wasted and yelling on top of their lungs as they rocked to the beat.
He dialed her phone again but there was no response. She wasn't hard to locate though because he found her twerking on a table with the men around her cheering.
"What the f**k?" Roman groaned, making his way towards the table and pushing the people out of his way.
"Ugh, if it isn't the party pooper." Lily rolled her eyes when she sighted him.
He didn't interact with her, instead he picked her from the table and lifted her in his arms, placing her on the floor.
"What has gotten into you?!" He was starting to get angry now. This was not the type of thing he normally had to deal with.
She opened her mouth to speak but quickly placed her hands over her mouth to prevent herself from throwing up.
She raced towards the female bathroom and he went right after her, closing the door behind them.
He looked away when she threw up in the toilet bowl, wincing and scrunching his nose up in disgust.
When he felt she was done, he assisted her to the sink to rinse her mouth and face, holding her hair back as she did.
She looked up at him after a while and he eyed her curiously. "What got into you all of a sudden, why did you drink so much?"
She opened her mouth to talk but she started crying instead.
Roman felt like there was a stab at his heart and he wrapped one arm around her, allowing her to bury her face against his chest and sob there. He patted her back with his other hand.
"You monster." She pulled away from him. "I know, I chose to be your wife and I'm not even attached but still, it hurts, more than I can explain."
"What are you talking about?" Roman was genuinely confused.
She wiped her nose with the back of her hand and sniffed. "You lied to me. Is that why you were so protective over that dumb book? Because you didn't want me to see your stupid big boobs girlfriend. Not only did you lie that she was dead, she's your goddamned secretary."
Roman widened his eyes in realization.
"And then today, she was…"
Roman didn't let her finish. He pulled her into a tight hug instead and pressed her against his chest, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry." He kept chanting the words, "f**k, no, I didn't mean it like that, she is dead to me but I promise there's nothing between us, it's a long story. You shouldn't have seen that, I'm sorry." He sighed.
"Why?" Lily cried, "why, there's no need to lie, I know you two have s**t in common." She continued to say.
He picked her up and lifted her into his arms.
"Put me down." She cried weakly.
"Let's go home, you need rest, we will talk about this when you're sober." He promised her.

Kim rinsed the soap out of her hair, humming along to a Ruth B song that was playing in the background when she heard the bathroom door open.
Slowly, she watched Adrian find his way to the sink. He had his eyes on her the whole time.
She looked away and turned the water off. She wrapped her towel around herself and hopped out of the shower, ready to leave the bathroom when he stopped her with a gentle pull of her hand.
"Wait." He sighed.
She looked from his hand to his face and frowned, "let me go." She requested and yanked her wrist free from his grip and continued to leave.
This time he grabbed her waist and pushed her backwards so her back was against his chest. Her towel almost fell off but she caught it fast enough to shield her front view from nakedness but her bare back and butt rested against him.
"What do you want?" She snapped in a low voice, hoping she did well to hide the shivers running through her body.
"To apologise to you." He began.
For some reason, Kim felt like this was the first time she was listening to him speak. He had a sexy voice effect and she couldn't tell if it was because he was making her horny or if it had always been there.
"I know you have every right to be upset but this is more than the family name, you are my wife now. I don't want thousands of men looking at this perfect body and trying to j******f your pictures." He continued, trailing his fingers up her neck.
"What has gotten into you tonight?" Kim wondered, swallowing and closing her eyes in response to his touch. She had never known him to speak dirty. He was a businessman, every time.
"Nothing." His voice was a pitch deeper now. He turned her around, causing her towel to drop. He grabbed her butt and squeezed a little.
Kim knew where this was headed and so she held her breath, allowing him to take full charge of her body.
"I'm going on a three month trip." He began to say, kissing the nape of her neck.
She pushed him away and frowned, "what?!"
"I know, I just thought it would be great to let you know as well since we are married now." He pulled her back to him. "I'll be back before you know it."
He was leading her back to the bedroom now.
"I hate how it is okay for you to go on these trips but I'm not allowed to pursue my career." Kim retorted.
Adrian had other things in mind. He lifted her and gently laid her on the bed, spreading her legs apart.
Kim had a lot to say but he was distracting her and when he began to suck her moist core, she lost her sense of speech to moans.

Roman got Lily out of her old clothes and ran a hot bath for her and while she was in it, he stayed in the shower to clean himself, feeling relieved. He didn’t know how burdened his heart had been with her absence until now that he was with her physically.
He dried her body while in his bathroom robe and got her in warm pyjamas, and set her on the bed where she began to doze off.
He changed into a new pair of pyjamas, turned the lights out and lay next to her on the bed.
His movements caused her to wake up from her nap, but she didn't open her eyes. "Why are you caring so much for me?" She asked in a sleepy voice.
"Because…" he began and trailed off, "I think I love you." He added in a low voice but she was already snoring slightly.
